Arrive in Washington, D.C., before 1:30 PM on April 1 to ensure you're ready for the advocacy training that afternoon. Schedule your return flight April 2 after 5 p.m. to accommodate all your scheduled Capitol Hill meetings.

TUESDAY, APRIL 1

1:30 PM – 2:00 PM     Welcome remarks:

• UMA Chair Alan Thrasher

• UMA Legislative & Regulatory Committee Chair Glenn Every

•  UMA President & CEO Scott Michael

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM     Orientation (Ken Presley, Becky Weber, Prime Policy Group Staff) 

3:00 PM – 3:15 PM     Break

3:15 PM – 4:00 PM     Continued orientation and distribute appointments 

4:15 PM     Depart Hotel for Group photo on U.S. Capitol steps 

4:30 PM – 5:00 PM     Group Photo Session on Capitol Steps

5:15 PM     Return to Hotel

5:30 PM     Dinner on your own (Explore NoMa and all of Washington, D.C.!)

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 2

6:00 AM – 7:30 AM      Breakfast (Hotel)

7:15 AM     Gather in hotel* lobby for 7:30 AM departure (early appointments and Senate coffees).

7:45 AM     Gather in hotel lobby for 7:45 AM departure. 

8:00 AM – 5:00 PM     House and Senate Appointments

5:00 PM – 6:00 PM     You did it! Wrap-up meeting/refreshments. Share your experiences with others on the Hill.

Traveling from DCA: The DC Metrorail system has an elevated Metrorail station connected to the concourse level of Terminal 2 at Reagan National Airport. Board YELLOW LINE towards Mount Vernon Square to depart at GALLERY PLACE/CHINATOWN. Switch to RED LINE towards GLENMONT and depart at NOMA-GALLAUDET (NEW YORK AVE)

METRO STATION (approximate fare $2.75). Hotel is just outside METRO Station.
